Qatar has introduced mandatory health insurance, starting with visitors, who must hold approved cover. Requirements for residents are being implemented in phases, generally through employers. We keep track of the rules and make sure your cover is compliant.
It depends on the plan. Some cover them after a waiting period, others exclude them or apply special terms. Always declare your medical history fully — non-disclosure can lead to claims being declined.
A co-payment is the share of each treatment cost you pay yourself, for example 10% of an outpatient visit. Higher co-payments reduce the premium; we help you find the right balance.
